Cynthia was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley region of TX before attending Carnegie Mellon to obtain her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. She discovered her passion for product development because it requires merging the world of mechanical design with the creative world of industrial design. She started her professional career as a plant engineer at a paper mill in Scranton, PA, and later transitioned to designing products for Crayola in Easton, PA. In her free time, Cynthia enjoys painting and focusing on mindfulness activities such as yoga.
